According to a press release, a new skyscraper will soon become a part of the skyline in Seoul, South Korea — but we will not be able to see it.

Architects behind, what is touted to be the world’s first invisible skyscraper were granted permission to begin construction of the 1,476-foot tall building, dubbed Tower Infinity.

An LED facade and cameras on the back of the building will be used to project the surroundings behind the building onto its front. When LED and cameras will be turned on, the system will make the outlines of the tower indiscernible. If sources are to be believed, the projections can also be used to broadcast special events or advertisements onto the building.

The skyscraper will have some built-in transparency, even when the projections are turned off. The invisible building will be constructed using a great deal of clear glass and will have open floor plan, so that the visitors can look down multiple levels.

U.S.-based GDS Architects, revealed that The Tower Infinity will primarily be used for entertainment and leisure. A water park, movie theaters and restaurants are set to be the part of the skyscraper. The Infinity’s observation deck will be the third highest across the world, and is planned to go up right outside Seoul’s Incheon International Airport.
